This is a specially adapted reflexology technique for babies (developed following 15 years of research), and can now be taught to parents, in order to soothe and calm baby, and enhance the natural bond between parent and child.

Q.What is Baby Reflex?

      ......A specialised technique of reflexology designed to meet baby's needs.

Baby Reflex consists of a short training course in the use of these techniques. Mums or dads (grandparents welcome too!) can then personally carry out these techniques on their own babies (Please note: this is not a training course to use baby reflexology on other babies - just your own).

Q.How can Baby Reflex help my baby?

Q.How can I learn Baby Reflex?

    ........Baby Reflex must always be taught by a qualified reflexologist and a registered Baby Reflex practitioner. Karen has completed this post graduate qualification.

 The course is taught in 3 hands-on sessions of one hour per week, on consecutive weeks. This can be carried out in a group (friends, mother and baby groups, NCT) or on a one-one basis.

You will be taught the techniques and given the opportunity to practise 'mum to mum' during the session. At the end of the session, when you are feeling more confident, you will be able to carry out the same techniques on your baby.

The sessions are structured in 'easy to manage chunks', spread over the 3 weeks. 'Mums' will learn the technique in the first session and be able to go home to 'work' on their own baby. Sessions 2 and 3 will be a refresher, plus learning some more techniques. These sessions are themed and chunked to allow parents to absorb the information in an easily remembered format.

Q.How old does my baby need to be to enjoy Baby Reflex?

Any age between 4 weeks and 2 years old. Some toddlers over the age of 2 still enjoy Baby Reflex if you can catch them!!

Q.Will I get any literature on the course?

You will not be left on your own - each 'mum' will receive their own set of Baby Reflex colour charts to use at home highlighting the techniques you have been taught. You will also receive a Mother's diary, so that you can record your baby's reactions to the reflexology.

Q.What is the difference between Baby Reflex and baby massage?

Baby Reflex is portable and can be done virtually anywhere, without the need to undress baby. It is quick too, with baby treatments lasting no more than 5 minutes.

Imagine this - you are in a supermarket queue and baby is crying - with Baby Reflex mum can gently calm her baby whilst continuing with her shopping.

Q. How much is it to learn Baby Reflex?

The normal price of the course is £60 which covers all 3 weeks tuition, taught on three consecutive weeks, and includes full colour take home charts and a Mother's diary.
