| Karen McIlravie (sole founder) of Sole Reflexions qualified as a Gentle Touch™ Reflexologist with distinction, in 2005, following studying at the Sue Ricks School of Complementary Therapies in Leicester. She holds a diploma in Gentle Touch™, which incorporates anatomy and physiology, and a certificate in emergency first aid treatment. This qualification is accredited by the AOR and affiliated to the ICM. Karen is a member of both The Register Of Complementary Practitioners - Reflexology division (BRCP) and the Association of Reflexologists (MAR).
Karen has long had an interest in health, having qualified as a State Registered nurse in 1982, and worked within the health service for a number of years. Following the birth of her children she left the national health service and later went on to work in a school setting, with children with special needs.
Since qualifiying Karen has developed an interest in further developing her career and following an interest in the use of Gentle Touch™ Reflexology in pregnancy. As such she has studied under the guidance of Susanne Enzer, a leader in the field of maternity reflexology.
